Neuromodulator Treatments

Most patients can be in and out within a half hour, and the injections take less than 15 minutes. The most common side effects from the injections are slight swelling, redness or bruising at the injection sites, but no downtime is needed after the treatment. You can return to normal activities after your Botox or Dysport treatment.
Both Dysport and Botox take a few days to take effect. The neurotoxin begins to block the nerve communication with the muscle, and you will notice changes in about 3-7 days. The effects are temporary – the body will break down the proteins in the neurotoxin in about 3-4 months. To maintain results, repeated injections are needed a few times per year.
